I have tried uninstalling, re-installing and even upgrading from Firefox 3.0.14, but it still is very slow in rendering pages. I have had it crash once, which I never thought would happen, and I thought that perhaps it was all my imagination. Well, I was wrong. I started up Microsoft Security Essentials, but it kept crashing every few minutes, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall and keep going. That is when I decided to try and remove Firefox. I removed Firefox and then started Microsoft Security Essentials again, and after all the various pop-up messages that this is not necessary, the Software Center button on the toolbar no longer appeared, and I am not allowed to open it from either the Start Menu or the Taskbar. I have tried to add Firefox again, but can not. It says that "there are problems with one or more installed products". Is this because Microsoft Security Essentials is protecting Firefox from "spyware" somehow? I don't know. If this is the case, I would like to know, so I can move on and get things fixed. Help me, please! I have not yet uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials, and I really don't want to have to do that. I am still using Firefox, and I want it to run as it is intended to - not faster than a snail. If I can't have Firefox on Windows XP, then I don't want to have Microsoft Security Essentials installed, and I would like to know how to remove it.
